Connecting with server...just won't connect

I am on a Mac & my hard drive recently fried, so I upgraded to Snow Leopard, I always used to use Yummy and now its won't connect....My co-worker can connect on his pc, can someone please help me.

Make sure Snow Leopard is updated to the latest version (10.6. and that Yummy is at the latest version too (1.8.4)

Is it FTP or SFTP or FTPS ?

That should be 10 . 6 . 8

I used an earlier -- excellent --  version of Yummy some years ago to manage a web-site.  An hour or so ago, I bought the newest version --  1.8.5  --  and am using it with Snow Leopard 10.6.8.   I am having exactly the same difficulty, which is the more irritating because NVU connects to the very same server with no difficulty at all.

Any suggestions ?
