.DS_Store?

Hi there.

In the preferences, under "divers" (french system...sorry...don't know the english name you used), there is a check box to include invisible files, which I have checked.  Then one that says (translated) "...and upload .DS_Store files", which I have unchecked.

If I understand the prefs right, having that unchecked means I *don't* want those files transferred, right?  However, each time I try to do a 'synchronize', it includes all the .DS_Store files in the list.  Is this the expected behavior?  Is there a way to make Yummy FTP ignore these files completely?

I just tested this out with version 1.5.1 and it worked as expected.

If you have .DS_Store files on your server then Yummy might want to download them, but it should never upload them from your Mac if the "...and upload .DS_Store files" option is unchecked.

I can see that it might be more useful to have a checkbox which excludes .DS_Store completely (and maybe others such as Icon\r and .localized, for example)

At the moment, I suggest you add a filter to the server side to exclude .DS_Store files. Mail me if you need instructions for this.

The "...and upload .DS_Store files" option has been changed to "...and include .DS_Store files" in version 1.5.2 beta, and this will address the issue you have been having.
