SSL connection failed; session reuse required
« on: November 06, 2011, 08:11:51 PM »
A host changed to a different server, thus new IP address to existing DNS hostname ... and thus a new SSL certificate.

Yummy fails on connection with this error from the server:

SSL connection failed; session reuse required: see require_ssl_reuse option in vsftpd.conf man page.

Connection type is Secure FTPS (SSL/TLS).

I don't see anywhere how to delete or renew a certificate in the bookmarks, preferences or elsewhere. I have also tried creating a new entry, but with the same hostname it's just trying the match the same old certificate.

Help?

Hmm, I think this isn't a certificate issue but rather a mode of operation that this server is requiring that Yummy doesn't support.

If I recall correctly, this non-Standard mode can be disabled at the server, so it's worth enquiring with your ISP about the SSL reuse option.

In any case, let me investigate further and I'll get back to you.

It was a server side issue... resolved by server op. Thanks for your reply.

It would be nice to have a way to reject an already accepted certificate though.

Great to hear it has been resolved, and sorry I didn't respond a little quicker!

I'll bear in mind better certificate handling for a future update. Thanks for the feedback :)
