Old bug reoccurance & file system question
« on: December 11, 2011, 07:38:57 PM »
Hey JD,

I don't know which of the last updates brought it back but the bug where you rename a file to the same name as an existing file and it overwrites without prompt (even though upload/download settings are set to "Ask what to do") has returned.

My file system question is about icon files in my Application Support / Yummy FTP Support folder.  I have 13,328 files that start with "icon.X" where X is an increasing number from 1 to 21052 (obviously skipping numbers somewhere/how).  Sample Image: http://d.pr/uV2C

Yummy 1.8.7
OS X 10.7.2

Thanks man,
Jace

Hi,

The icon.x files are nothing to worry about. They are used to determine the icon that should be displayed in browser listings for all the file name extensions that Yummy encounters as you use it. It seems you must have a lot of files with numerical suffixes. In any case, all those files are zero bytes so they are harmless. If you wish you can delete the whole lot and Yummy will re-create as necessary.

The rename issue is an odd one - I'm not sure what's happened there. I will check into it.

Hmm, not so much a reoccurrance ... more a case of I never fixed it in the first place!  :o

Now it's fixed for the next release :)
