Moving iWeb Site to GoDaddy
« on: December 14, 2011, 01:00:06 AM »
The first time I FTP'd (using GoDaddy's FTP program), EVERY page of my iWeb-created site looked gruesome - font and formatting problems galore. Re-uploaded with Yummy, and all looked fine.

What tips do you have for this move? This has been a popular site, and I hate losing the online "reputation" that it has earned. But I know I need to move it from Apple.

iWeb itself is just software and it will continue to work. The only thing that Apple is discontinuing is hosting of websites, but as you're already using GoDaddy then there is nothing to do. So, I'm not sure what move you're referring to.

In any case, there are no tips or special tricks to uploading a website - it either works or not. In the case of the GoDaddy FTP tool it clearly failed to do its job, but Yummy is way more reliable than that.

Thank you. I may be over-thinking all of this.
