Yummy FTP on the Mac App Store and v1.8.8 released!

Version 1.8.8 of Yummy FTP can now be purchased for just $9.99 USD on the Mac App Store, and an update to the regular version can now be downloaded free of charge.

The differences between the Mac App Store version and the regular copy is that the Mac App Store version does not have the FTP Alias or FTP Watcher capability, otherwise they are identical in functionality.

Note that for existing customers, the Yummy FTP Mac App Store version can still be driven by any FTP Aliases and FTP Watchers that already exist just as it always has done, and in fact it can still edit them.

Apple provides no way to migrate existing customers to the Mac App Store. Their view is that existing customers wishing to migrate should pay all over again for their software. This is one reason why I made the Mac App Store version $9.99 : it's low enough to enable a transition without paying too much.

For the record, I have no intention of going App Store only! Updates to the regular version of Yummy FTP will continue as always.
