just got yummy, how do you?
« on: November 22, 2005, 09:07:02 PM »
hi, just bought yummy.
running it in tiger.
two things:

how do you copy as url and INCLUDE password..... I have seen clients that give you this option and I would like this option to make it easier for my clients to download... just mail them the link and they click and download.

I have set yummy as my default ftp application......
my server requires the username as x@domain.com, it copies it as that, but when you click the copied link it defaults to the user name x and not x@domain.com.
thanks

Hi,

I also replied to your email with the same message, but for others to see.. the password is currently omitted on purpose for security reasons, but I have no difficulty in adding a preference setting to include it for the next version.

As far as the user name issue is concerned, I'll look into it and include a fix in the next update.

Thanks for the feedback!

also out of curiousity how does one revert the default ftp helper, so that safari can handle ftp's as well?

The next update won't be out for some time yet - I'm working on a lot of new things ;)

But I can add the changes you need to the next beta build and let you know when it's available, which should be in a few days.

For reverting the FTP helper, you'll have to download something like More Internet from VersionTracker. This is a System Preferences pane which will allow you to configure all of the helper apps. Note that only one helper app can be active at a time, so either it's Yummy FTP or it's Safari - you can't have both.

The changes have been made and a beta is being prepared. I'll be in touch shortly :)
