Renaming files fun
« on: December 21, 2006, 04:47:31 PM »
I just had YummyFTP do some really weird stuff while renaming files on a SFTP server... apparently it shifted the parts of the name I was trying to delete (and then some) simply "to the right". The result:
one file that was called "wertungsschema_dienstag-samstag.incl.php" is now called "wertungsschema_", has permissions "amstag.incl.php" insetad of -rw-r--r--, links -rw-r--r--, and Owner/group "1 / username".

The other file was called "wertungsschema_dienstag-samstag.incl. copy php"; it now has the charming name "0014/10001", has permissions of "ertungsschema_d/ à†", etc.

Of course, now I can't read, download or delete the files from within YummyFTP. Going back to 1.5.2 might not be a bad idea at this time...  :-\

While we wait for the definitive reply from JD...

I don't think your server will have these corruptions. It may be that Yummy is incorrectly interpreting the file information it is getting from the server. First try restarting Yummy in case it has got confused or is using some corrupted cache.

Next, if the problem persists, refresh the offending file listing and then have a look at the transcript (View=>Show Transcript) to see what Yummy is actually receiving from the server. Report back!

Interesting...

Well, I didn't change the list parser in 1.5.3 so it will be the same in 1.5.2 I think.

I need to see the transcript, just as spacific has said - it seems something in the listing data is throwing Yummy's list parser out of whack
