Default remote editors for different file types

Hello,

how do I make YFTP remote-edit a file by default with its associated application? E.g., when editing a .html file, I'd like to use TextWrangler, but for .css files I'd like to use CSSEdit by default. I can choose the desired application using the "Edit with..." contextual (sub-) menu, sure, but I have set the default double-click action to open a file for editing, and it would be nice if that would be the associated application instead of the default application set in the server setting preferences.

Is there any way to do this in the current version? Any pref settings I'd have to make?

You'll need to add a Suffix Mapping entry for .css

1. Select 'Suffix Mapping' from the Transfer menu
2. Click Add
3. Enter:

Entry Name: CSS
Suffix: .css
Apply mapping for : Uploads & Downloads
Use as default editor: Enable this checkbox

All other settings can be left alone.

4. Click 'Choose App' then navigate to and choose CSSEdit
5. Click Save
6. Close Suffix Mapping window

Done!

(I have been meaning to make this easier for some time. I haven't forgotten - I will get around to it)

Thanks - this Suffix Mapping window is exactly what I was looking for (and simply didn't see...)!

Granted, I didn't check the docs under Help > Quick Start because I didn't expect my issue to be covered in a quick start type of manual (when sure enough, it is...  ) - sorry!

Maybe you could add a link to the full online docs (i.e., the Wiki) to the Help menu as well - I just happened to find this additional resource.
