keep remote remote directory up to date
« on: February 12, 2008, 05:29:30 PM »
Hi! There is another feature from open source windows sftp program WinSCP that I'm missing, it's keep remote directory up to date. I made a screencast to demonstrate it (I got an error at the end because I'm running windows in vmware fusion and sharing some NFS mounted folders inside:):

The point is as you will see from screencast that the program watches folder (and subfolders if you want) for changes, and if it detects new or changed files it instantly uploads them. It is some sort of constant synchronization.
Godspeed!

There is already the FTP Watcher feature which provides similar functionality, although it doesn't (yet) consider subdirectories other than those in the top level directory. But it would be nice to have that at some point, I agree.
