remote file timestamp
« on: February 14, 2008, 02:07:21 AM »
I searched for info about this here on the forum, but didn't find anything. Must be here somewhere, though...

Yummy seems like a nice ftp client. But there's one thing that I haven't been able to enable that's so important that it overshadows the rest. I need to be able to see the time on the remote (and local, preferably) server files. The date's not enough. I realize that I can get info about each file, but I don't want to have to do that. I want to see the date AND time for every file in a remote directory.

Is that possible? I haven't found anywhere where I can indicate that I'd like to see this.

Do you have the "date modified" column wide enough? If it is narrow then only the date is shown.

The width of every column in the browser listing can be adjusted. Hold your mouse pointer over the right edge of the column title of the column you wish to resize - the mouse pointer will change to give the visual feedback that resizing can be made - click and drag the mouse and see the column resize. Let go of the mouse when you have the required width.

I'll make the default column width wider for the Date Modified in a future release, to ensure that the time shows too. It certainly did in earlier versions, so I suppose Apple changed some metrics which is now causing the time not to show up.

Had to say it... auto-adjust width? And auto-adjust width for all columns...

Think of it as a challenge!

That was too obvious. Thanks for the help and my apologies for not thinking of the most likely solution. At least I got very familiar with all the various menu and preferences options.  ;D
