upload web folder with czech letters
« on: April 02, 2008, 06:54:19 AM »
Hi,

I creat web pages in iWeb and I uppload to my server. My page have in name czech letter as ěščřžýáíé. If I upload this file (výlety.html ...) so web page dont see ( I can open page only without czech letters in name page). I try upload same folder with transmit, so all pages can open in browser is OK.

I have set encoding UTF8, binary mode and set permission for upload. With yummy have problem with czech letters and I dont know what different set. Same setting have with transmit which upload all files correctly.

Thank Jan

The correct encoding for Czech is Central European (ISO Latin 2). Make sure this is set for your server Bookmark, not the Preferences setting.

Hmm, ok you should revert to UTF-8

It seems like this is a bug. I will take a look.

Using the latest version of Yummy FTP I cannot repeat any problems - everything works as expected. For example, here is a site I created in iWeb and uploaded with Yummy:

http://www.yummysoftware.com/testarea/

Here there are two pages:  výlety.html and výlety2.html
