Good to be on the same page there JD. As I better understand the interface, I probably saw the dialog I first spoke of for both the bookmark AND by using the FTP Alias I keep on my desktop.
So now I see that it's my alias that has a lack of protocol. The bookmark does, the alias does not. AND the alias has NOT been modified since 07, so that little bit of data is housed... where?
However, at some point I DID see a message about having/needing to edit the alias... I was too quick to dismiss it and for the life of me I can't seem to figure out HOW I got such a message!
Far as I know, one can NOT edit an existing FTP Alias... right?
I just re-created the alias from my bookmark and it DOES do a correct and proper Web URL.
Wim, welcome to the Yummy world! Best to have an existing bookmark that one makes INTO an FTP Alias to. That way, one can easily recreate the alias with new data IN the bookmark. Now I see it is driven from a pref in the bookmark... one that COULD seem to point to a different domain than what the bookmark goes to.
