scheduled delete items on server
« on: September 17, 2008, 06:25:32 PM »
Hi,
as most of your users know your program is one of the best ones out there and very easy to get running, even for a  PTA mom.  I am spreading the word!
I sync 'Update Mac' every half hour and my server contains lots of folders therefore it would be great to automatically clean it up every 24 hours, specially when I am not in the office to do it. Haven't tried Automator (or raw commands) since my experience is limited (I'm way, way better than my husband!) but not afraid of doing it.  What do you suggest?
 I'm running OS 10.5, yummi 1.7.1.

Hey, dani and thanks for the kind comments :)

There is no scheduling support for deleting items, so my best suggestion for that would be an AppleScript. However, I am a little unclear what exactly should be deleted from the server after you have downloaded the latest files to your Mac using the Update Mac method.
