When I duplicate a folder on a remote server under SFTP the new copy becomes owner/owner with permissions rwxr-xr-x. Would it be possible to duplicate the original for both group and permissions?
Strangely, for files the permissions do get duplicated, but not the group.
I would have thought the sensible and expected action here would be to duplicate as much as possible of the object being duplicated.
Any chance this can be done (where owner permissions allow of course)? I regularly need to duplicate both files and folders and then I have to change owner and often permissions. Somewhat annoying
