Hi,
Is it possible begin an FTP job while working on the same site that you are FTP'ing?

Sure, there is no limitation in Yummy - you can have as many things going on at the same time as you want, providing your server has enough simultaneous connections available to you.
However, you must be careful.
For example, you don't want to be remotely editing a file that will be replaced by an upload going on simultaneously.
