Synchronize two files from 2 different ftp server
« on: June 08, 2016, 09:14:07 PM »
Hi ! I have just download Yummy to discover what are the possibilities.

Here is the thing.
I have two ftp server : ftp1 and ftp2 ( from two different host )
I have one file on ftp1 : file.xml and i would like that this file automatically upload every night from ftp1 to ftp2.
So ftp1 will have file.xml and ftp2 have also file.xml updated every night by file.xml from ftp1.

RESUME : I NEED TO SYNCH THOSES FILES !

Is it possible with Yummy ? ( im on mac )

Thanks :)

Sure.

Set a Bookmark for sever A with a scheduled download of the file to a location on your HD which runs on the hour every hour.

Set a Bookmark for server B with a scheduled upload of the file from the download folder in A to the required location on the server which runs at half past the hour every hour.

Okay ! i think that's what i decided to finally do ! So… i have to let yummy ftp run ?
I guess its not possible to do this task without yummy running lol .

Another question, how can i hide the window that appear at the head of the upload ? ( the one that appear at the center of the screen, not the one on the top right )

Thanks for your answer

Well since Yummy is doing the transfers it needs to be running obviously.

Two windows : one for each schedule. You can position them where you want. Select Hide from the Yummy FTP menu to hide it and the windows.
