Title: Dialogue box that opens when yummyftp is launched is bad Post by: guttyguppy on July 13, 2006, 09:55:19 AM I know you can disable the "New Connection" dialogue that automatically opens when yummy is launched, but I find it confusing. First of all, there's no way to access my bookmarks through it. Second of all, it's unclear that the bookmarks are available via the toolbar menu-in many apps, the toolbar menu is disabled when a dialogue box appears, so as a typical user I thought for a long time that I had to close the "New Connection" dialogue to access my bookmarks.
Better yet, make bookmarks accessible through the New Connection dialogue. Right now I just see recent connectons in the globe icon, and some weird biohazard icon that does nothing. Just a few thoughts on how to make a great app even better! As I explained in my reply there, I have intentions of making improvements in these areas - for example, integrating the Bookmarks window into the FTP Browser window. Just so you know, the 'Biohazzard' icon is actually Apple's Bonjour/Rendez Vous icon - if you had FTP servers available on your LAN then they would automaically show up in a list when you click the icon. It seems that you don't. This feature has become a standard feature of most FTP clients. Thanks for the feedback!
