Title: Stalled-won't unzip Post by: squeezed on January 06, 2011, 12:28:05 PM Having various issues with 1.8.2. The next one....a zipped file appears to download properly but when it gets to the end it says "(stalled)" and never actually leaves the download cue or completes. The file on the desktop appears to be complete, the right size and a normal zip icon but when trying to unzip hangs up the unzipping program. Thanks

Please try the latest beta build as described in my other reply. If you can send me any FTP Transcripts of examples of times when odd things occur, that would be helpful. Select Save FTP Transcript from the File menu. Send to: support at yummysoftware dot com Thanks. I don't feel comfortable posting that info.

I don't see the end of the transfer in the transcript you posted but my guess would be that those files were uploaded in MacBinary format (but not auto-decoded) so when Yummy now downloads with MacBinary disabled (as discussed in another thread) the download file is still MacBinary encoded, which confuses the un-zip app. If you download the same file with (for example) Fetch, ensuring it is also set to Binary encoding, does the same thing happen? I would need to see its transcript either way. |
