i can't connect to our server using yummy (error: "Server refused connection") - yet i can connect using sftp from the macosx terminal window. also, i use yummy at work and it connects fine. i have triple checked connection params - server/user/port are all correct
what can be going wrong?
also, is there any way i can get debug/log info about yummy's attempt to connect to my server - maybe it would have some clues.....

Is it the same server you're connecting to at work?
Check you are using v1.8.4 of Yummy.
Does your password have 'unusual' characters?
-
yeh, it's the same server, i am using v1.8.4 of yummy, and the password is a simple combo of numerals and lowercase letters
a couple of weeks ago someone at our isp changed the sftp port from 22 to another number, so it wasn't working initially, but then it did work again, for a few days, and without editing the bookmark at all it suddenly stopped working
i have double checked ip white and black lists on the server and that's all ok (in fact, my ip is on the whitelist)
i then deleted the bookmark, and created it again from scratch, and that didn't work
i then installed filezilla, and it connected fine!
but i like yummy, and i would prefer to use the same software at home that i do at work....
any help greatly appreciated!

ok, more info
i have a virtual server at rackspace which i am playing around with - i tried connecting with yummy, no go, yet i can both ssh and sftp to the server from the macosx terminal command line.....
also, i can connect with filezilla
what is going on?
-
and more info....i have an account at influxis, the flash media server host, and yummy *does* connect successfully there, but it is a normal ftp connection, not sftp
so far, all my sftp connections are failing...
-
i was wondering - does yummy output some kind of log when it's connecting to a server? if so, maybe this would give me some clues?

If the very same version of Yummy connects to the very same server on a different Mac (your work Mac) then it must be your home Mac which is the problem.
It sounds to me that you either have the Mac OS X firewall enabled, or have a utility like Little Snitch installed, and this is blocking Yummy FTP specifically from establishing an SFTP connection.
Disable the OS X firewall and Little Snitch (both in System Preferences) then try again.
-
firewall is off, and i don't have any extra utilities like little snitch running
-
i have just checked my router settings, and nothing suspicious there
-
Ok, please contact me via email and we will have to establish a Remote Desktop connection to your home Mac so I can take a look myself and investigate.

Did anyone ever find a solution to this? I'm having the same issue, I get "permission denied (publickey, password)" in Yummy but connected fine via terminal...

I was going to say, write to me at support at yummysoftware dot com but I see you just have. I will answer there.
