Title: Email notification when transfer is complete Post by: kennyboy97 on November 02, 2006, 09:04:10 PM We are currently testing out Yummy FTP and so far really like it.
We would like to know if there's a way within the program or via AppleScript to have an email notification sent out to concerned parties that a file transfer has completed. Any thoughts? Thanks, Ken Title: Re: Email notification when transfer is complete Post by: JD on November 03, 2006, 01:47:10 AM Use the Growl notification system, which has an email capability, and with which Yummy FTP is fully compatible: http://www.growl.info

Thanks for the info. However, that link appears to be dead and I can't find anyplace else at the moment to try and download Growl. Any other ideas? Thanks Ken Title: Re: Email notification when transfer is complete Post by: JD on November 03, 2006, 04:37:59 PM Hmm, that's unusual... it's still down now! I'm afraid I don't have an alternative solution, or even an alternative download link at the moment. I will post a download link if I find one, but in the meantime, keep trying the Growl site - it's sure to be back up soon.

I'd suggest you get it: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15979 There might be some doc with it; play with it! Title: Re: Email notification when transfer is complete Post by: JD on November 06, 2006, 07:19:00 AM http://growl.info/files/Growl-0.7.4.dmg
Growl is now back online Title: Re: Email notification when transfer is complete Post by: kennyboy97 on November 06, 2006, 09:39:31 PM Hi JD,
It works. Thanks. Now I have to figure out how make it all work. Title: Re: Email notification when transfer is complete Post by: JD on November 07, 2006, 04:55:51 AM Once Growl is installed, go to System Preferences, select Growl, Click Display Options tab, click MailMe, enter email address(es). Click Applications tab, select Yummy FTP, then in the list at the bottom select from the Display column 'MailMe' for the notifications you require by email.
