Not a bug report as such since the OS is still very much in beta. Yummy FTP runs fine under 10.12 but crashes when trying to change the default local directory in preferences. Error report here: http://pastebin.com/BnGBr5uR (http://pastebin.com/BnGBr5uR)

Thanks for the heads up!
I'll report this to Apple. The crash is deep inside the OS-provided file/folder picker (eg NSPanel).
Anyone can report bugs to Apple, and I highly encourage everyone to do so who finds any problems. Do not assume 'it will be fixed' - it won't unless it's reported.

Quick work around for changing the default file path in OSX 10.12. I found this worked for me:
Look in ~/Library/Preferences for com.yummysoftware.yummy-ftp.plist
Edit with Textwrangler or similar and locate the line <key>MacBrowserDefaultPath</key>
Immediately under it is <string>file://localhost/xxxxxxxxxx</string>
Replace xxxxxxxxxxxxx with your own default path.
Save and restart Yummy FTP.

Yes, that can work. I officially don't advise anyone to try this at home though! ;)

Apple are saying they cannot reproduce the crash. Can you repeat it every time even now?
-
Weird. Not happening now. Cannot reproduce the problem any more. But it did genuinely happen half a dozen times on the trot when I first ran YummyFTP after booting into the new Sierra OS. Sorry for the false alarm.

Not at all, it's fine ... I'm much happier receiving bug reports than not! :)
I'll let the Apple engineers know not to pursue this any further.
