Title: Scheduled Syncs dissappear
Post by: Quickit on May 16, 2007, 01:45:02 PM
I just purchased Yummy FTP for backing up several directories to a remote FTP, and it worked like a charm....  I had set up scheduled backups (6, to be exact).  I ended up rebooting the server for something else, and when I opened up Yummy again, all of my scheduled syncs are gone!  I set them up again, and closed the program and opened it again.  Gone again!   :o

When I set up a scheduled sync, I log on to the remote server, choose source and destination folder, then click on the synchronisation button.  I choose "update server", click on schedule, check off both "start the sync at:" and "repeat every 1 - Day", click OK, then click Synchronize.  It stays in the list at the bottom of the screen until I close and reopen the program, and then the are gone.

Any ideas, am I just missing something?

Thanks,
Ian

Are you using Bookmarks?

If you're going from a new connection (ie New Connection from the File menu) then the scheduled synchs can't be saved anywhere. If you use a Bookmarked connection, the sychs are saved in the Bookmark.

So what i need to do is reschedule all of me synchronizations, then re-save as a bookmark?  I didn't realize that the bookmark would also store the additional information.  I will let you know if it works!

Well, not 're-save', exactly. The sequence is this: You start with the New Connection window, enter your details and click Connect. When the connection is established and the browser window displayed, you select 'Add Bookmark' from the Bookmarks menu. Now set up your scheduled synchs. You need a Bookmark for each different server.
