Title: Cannot connect via SFTP Post by: onebc on May 01, 2008, 04:55:58 AM I settled on Yummy as the best FTP/SFTP for Mac ages ago, having tried all the usual contenders. However, in the past two weeks it's not allowed me to connect to sFTP sites, and subsequently my workflow is massively hampered and I've pulled most of my hair out. The error message I get is...
Yummy FTP was unable to complete your request. The attempt failed because the server was unable to process it. Now, I should declare at this point that the only thing I can think changed a couple of weeks ago [though I can't guarantee it was at exactly the same time] was that I installed BT Broadband at home. Since then my ability to connect to wireless networks has sometimes been a little dicey too. I've since uninstalled anything to do with BT Broadband. However, regardless, I seem unable to connect via sFTP from home over wifi, at the office over wifi or at the office over ethernet. I have checked the sites from my pc [using WinSCP] and can connect just fine using sFTP. I can also connect from my mac using FTP, but some of my clients don't allow this. Please, please can someone help me. Even if it's slightly 'around' the Yummy connection rather than a true Yummy error itself. Thanks. Basically, after the Apple update a couple of weeks ago to Leopard v10.5.2 and Safari v3.1, it seems there was a conflict in SSH for users who also had Audio Hijack Pro installed. The full thread/details can be seen at http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6859298 but the short answer is that first check whether you can connect via SSH [which I should have done before starting this thread] and then if you get a Bus Error and are a Hijack Pro user then update that software.
