Title: Copying between two server windows
Post by: SzurszewskiJ on October 07, 2008, 06:56:33 PM
I open two Yummy windows that are browsing different directories on the same remote server.  When I initiate a copy from one window to the other via Alt-drag, Yummy doesn't report that some of the files (for example, "sourcefile")already exist in the target directory and ask me what I want to do, it simply creates files such as "sourcefile copy" in the target directory.  In my preferences, all of the fields that deal with how to handle existing files are set to "Ask me".  Am I missing the preference that would allow me to replace existing files in a situation like this?

Alt-drag, just like in the Finder, will create a duplicate. Just drag, and don't use the alt key.

I tried that, but just dragging actually (re)moves the files from source directory rather than copying them.

Yes, it will move the items. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

I see the problem you're having. I'll see what I can do...

In the meantime, the only way for you will be to download the files/folders then upload them to the desired destination.

Ok, this is basically a bug ...

Bugs are usually fixed as soon as I find them, and this is no exception - it is now fixed in the next build (1.7.3b3) which is coming soon ;D

Great!  Thanks for checking into this.
