Title: Subversion, Git, CVS Support in Yummy
Post by: Boosh on October 08, 2009, 10:52:50 AM
I use yummy to manage a lot of web application servers on a remote network, using a single login.  My ftp mappings alias to different subversion repositories on my remote servers.

It would be awesome if, in the directory listings, yummy could show versioning related icons similar to those in tortoise svn. Better still, if yummy could run versioning commands to manage those remote repositories.

I realize yummy probably can't run commands on an aliased svn repository, but it might be able to download the remote file, commit it to the repo, then upload it back to the remote server.

I'm not familiar with all that goes on behind the scenes in SVN, or any other versioning system, but this would be a great time saver.  Currently, I have to do my file changes, then remember to open a terminal to that server and do the commands necessary to manage the repo manually.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I think the market for such functionality is most likely very very small - perhaps just only you -  and since I have to weigh up the development effort against possible sales as a result, I feel this isn't worth the amount of effort involved.
