Title: Faster uploads when using external editor Post by: offsky on June 16, 2006, 06:35:28 PM I use an external editor (BBEdit) to edit HTML files directly on the server and then refresh my web browser to see the changes. Each time I save the file, Yummy procedes to establish a connnection with the server and then upload the file. It would be faster to reuse the connection that is already open and just upload the file right away. When I am doing many quick itterations, the extra few seconds that it takes to make the server connection really adds up.
Compare speeds with Cyberduck and you will see what I mean. In Cyberduck, when you save the external file, it is uploaded in 1-2 seconds whereas Yummy takes 4-5 seconds. This would greatly improve my productivity. I'll try to improve this when I return. Thanks for the feedback! -Jason
