Can I just say good luck too. I have just changed software and hosting service. Freeway wouldn't upload the site. Transmit 'stalled'. Yummy uploaded everything perfectly first time. Not for the first time Yummy saved my skin - so all power to the future, Jason.

Yummy FTP / Feedback & Suggestions / Dreamhost users - some great news!

Though I suspect most Dreamhost customers don't know it, this excellent service backs up your site automatically and stores it in an invisible folder in the root. The big problem is finding it, because it ain't easy without resorting to the command line. I mailed Jason here today and asked if it was possible using Yummy (I also have Transmit and have asked them the same question, and not got a reply). The directory is hidden and doesn't show, even if you turn on show invisibles. Well, to cut a long story short, Jason spent some time on a Saturday looking into this and came up with a solution that means these hidden backups are immediately visible in Yummy and restorable with a click. It's amazing...
His way of doing it is... Go To Directory...' from the 'Listing' menu, enter .snapshot and click Go to enter the directory and see the contents in Yummy.
If you are a Dreamhost user, I suggest you give it a try.

Still no luck with those suggestions unfortunately. I contacted Dreamhost and all they had to say was this....

Can you give me any more details about what > kind of invisible directory this is so I can raise the support issue with > them?
hmm its a standard hidden folder just called .snapshot, nake sure that you are accessing it from your home directory and not from inside one of your domains directory.

Thanks for the super quick reply. Unfortunately I still can't see the directory with either of these methods. Doing the raw command gets a message saying it was succesful - but no directory...

Yummy FTP / Problems & Bugs / Dreamhost hidden directories

I am using Dreamhost which backs up sites automatically to what they call a hidden directory. I can't see this in Yummy. Is there some way of getting access to it - Dreamhost says it is available by ftp and ssl.
The instructions it gives are cd .snapshot
But using this as a raw command just gets a message saying it doesn't understand cd
