Works beautifully. Thanks.

EXCEPT!!  Because of the optional change to the action of the "Return" key (see other thread), when I rename a file and then press Return the file opens. This is a surprise. I think that while editing a filename Return should always just complete the edit and no more (whatever the setting of the Return key action).

hyper is asking for a facility to map illegal characters to legal ones automatically.

For example, the / character is reserved as a path delimiter so you can't use it in a name. At the moment Yummy already replaces a / with a : on upload and replaces a : with a / on download. hyper would like a configurable table.

Sorry for sticking my nose in here, but I don't understand the problem (obviously!).

I can copy a folder called "A,B" containing a file called "c,d.txt" from Mac to remote server. Isn't this what we are talking about?  Apologies for my ignorance, but I am interested to see where I'm misreading the post.

There's unfortunately no way of fixing this at the moment - a manual rename is the solution, or perhaps an AppleScript to do it for you. It's a common problem, however, and one that I shall be addressing in a future update, although I can't say specifically when it might be implemented - it's not a 'quick fix'. Sorry!

If you try to xfer over a directory with a comma or other unallowed chars in it, it just gives an error. Can this be fixed or added? I have alot of MP3's the "band, the" or tilds and renaming them all would be a hard ;\

Excellent - I'm glad you like it Smiley

I have to admit, once I implemented this and played around with it for a while, I did find that it's quite pleasant to use and almost, dare I say it,  'natural'

Since I already distributed the latest beta of 1.5.2 now, you'll know that I didn't include this feature. Yet ... Grin
