Filecount in cue view is wrong/misleading
« on: December 09, 2014, 04:01:54 PM »
Hello again.

So just now I noticed something weird going on with the item count in the cue view of Yummy.

I have a lot of files to upload (around 10.000). In the normal view it shows me the progress in the bottom right and it is showing correctly something like 10.000 files and the bytes it has done.

When I switch to the cue view, the count in the top item (there is only one, as I uploaded all at the same time) shows 2343, but then there is another item inside it that has 6834 items. So how can that be? Shurely the top item count should include ALL items that are hierarchicly (is that a word?) below it. Why doesnt it show the roughly 10.000 items ?

I dont really get the way the cue is being filled either. Sometimes it shows the item name and in brackets the item count and sometimes it shows the item count and the file name in brackets. What?

Can anyone clarify please. Thanks.

It's "Queue" ;)

The counts refer to number of active or waiting transfers. In your pic, there are two waiting transfers and the other four are the active ones, currently transferring. Notice that Yummy uses multiple connections to transfer multi-file transfers so you're seeing a grouping of those connections into one transfer entry, hence the disclosure triangle next to the top entry.

EDIT:

And re-reading your post this morning, I realise I mis-read it  :-[

Since the transfer is split amongst several connections, each one reports the number of items separately in the listing when the top most transfer is disclosed. When not disclosed, the top most item shows a summary of all the connections - the same as in the main browser window status at the bottom of the screen.
