I'm noticing a behavior that has become far more consistent over the past 6 months. One that i find very difficult to document as much as I'd like to (in order to speed along any possible solutions).
I am talking about connecting to my web space via ftp. The provider is Network Solutions (I mention in case there are other folks here who also use them). The issue isn't major, but annoying. The behavior is that on the first attempt to connect get a "server refused..." but on subsequent attempts it goes through.
I don't think it's a factor, but typically I use 2 methods to send files... one is through an FTP Alias on my machine, the other is through a secure FTP Alias I use at work. The one on my home machine I frequently double click on just to connect because I'm going to bring something down from the server. I have seen the same behavior if I launch Yummy, then choose the bookmark to connect.
After a successful connection, I tried looking at the transcript, but I only saw the successful login.
What can I do to provide any data? I know that my answer probably lies more with the ISP than Yummy, but the more real data I have, the better to figure out what is happening.
Like I said, this is NOT major stuff, I sure don't want it delaying Jason's work on WebDAV or tabs<g>!
