PROBLEM WITH FILES NOT DISPLAYING IN NUMERICAL ORDER
« on: January 31, 2008, 01:47:14 AM »

Am  having problems  having my photos display properly

If I drag a folder of images they display randomly, if I drag each photo one by one, then they will sort and display by filename.

Any idea if there is something I can do in Prefernces? Prevent multiople files uploads?

Hi Beth, I replied to you via email as well.

There is no guaranteed order of transfer, I'm afraid, even if you turn off multiple connections, although the order is more likely to be maintained in that case.

The only two solutions I can suggest are:

1. If your FTP server is MDTM enabled, check the 'Use MDTM to set server dates' checkbox in the Advanced Options of the Bookmark settings. If you don't know, just try it - it won't damage anything
2. Use an SFTP connection

Both these options will set the date of the files you upload to the server the same as the dates of your files on you Mac, which will be sufficient (I assume) to get your files into the correct order on the server.

Let me know how you get on.
