Why are my jobs queued when transfering files
« on: August 19, 2008, 04:48:25 PM »

each time I connect to the server the queue box says idle. unsure if this means it is not active? When I attempt to upload files it says that the files are waiting to be transfered, and the queue box reads jobs queued. When will they be transfered? What is stopping the process? Cannot figure out why my site won't launch. www.nwhorsemassage.com

It sounds like your server might be restricting your FTP traffic to one connection. Try un-checking the 'Allow multiple connections' check box in the Transfers panel of the Preferences. Let me know if that helps - if so, we can make it a setting specific to your server.

I unchecked the box. Should I upload my files again and replace the old? Wondering if I did something wrong in the beginning of my trial and error of uploading files. Maybe I renamed the wrong file index.html? Although when I go to the site it does have a few words that would signify that is my homepage yet the colors and pictures are missing. The tech guys at the host site said it may be a scripting error but they don't deal with that. How could it be a scripting error if it looks o.k. on my computer as a file? Is there someone I should take this to for help? I am obviously not skilled with computers but trying my best to learn.

Sorry, I should have made it clear - yes, you need to re-upload your entire web site after making this change. Yummy will ask if you want to replace files and you should enable the 'Apply to remaining items' then click Replace.
