I've often found that Cmd-leftarrow produces an unexpected result, taking me to the top level of the site, so I rarely use what should be a convenient feature. It's a bit hard to pin down when this happens but here is one scenario:
My bookmark opens a connection and starts in a folder A of the website (i.e. Initial Path is set to A). In list view, click on the triangle beside folder B (a subfolder of A), then click on the triangle beside folder C (a subfolder of B), then double-click on C to give a listing just of the contents of C. Now Cmd-leftarrow (or menu selection for Back History) takes me to the website base above A, instead of to A. This happens in both ftp and sftp sites. With slightly different combinations of steps it works as intended, and I think that sites where I start at the top level do not have this problem.
Presumably others have the same experience....?
