Regular crashes on a dual G5 running 10.5
« on: March 14, 2010, 10:33:09 AM »

Hey all. I volunteer time at a radio station and we use Yummy to update the song list on our web site. Lately it's been crashing, sometimes as often as 2 to 3 times a day. I'm attaching the apple crash log to see if anyone can see what's going on. We run it 24/7 and it's a pretty vital part of our operation so any help would be great.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

There's only one person who can help with such things, and that's me - the author of Yummy FTP.

I'll take a look and report back asap Smiley

Thanks so much. Aside from the crashes it's a great program!

It looks like you're using an AppleScript to drive Yummy, and something in the script is failing which is having this knock on effect.

Can you send me the AppleScript?

Hmm. I didn't set up a script to run. The only thing I have it doing is auto updating a folder from my machine to my ISP. Let me poke around and see if I can find something.

yea. I have yummy set up to sync a folder on my tower with a folder on my isp servers. Everything is set up with in yummy to do this, I'm not using any external scripts to handle the syncing.

In the next version, I've added some protection around the area of code where these crashes were occurring, plus I fixed a potential memory corruption, which could have caused crashes in the first place.

When it is released, please test it and report back. Thanks Smiley
