Can't get scheduled items to save over yummy sessions
« on: April 11, 2010, 09:15:36 AM »

According to http://www.yummysoftware.com/wiki/features:scheduling?s=schedule (your wiki page on scheduling):
Quote
The defined schedule will be recorded in the FTP Browser’s Bookmark, if one is being used, so that it remains persistent across launches of Yummy FTP.
I've created a bookmark for the site I'm trying to mirror with, and then I drag a directory to the Queue Drawer, and then fill in the scheduling details.  (And this is definitely not using Upload Later.) I've checked that on the Bookmarks panel, the 'Schedules' icon is ticked.

But despite doing these steps, the schedules don't persist when I close the Yummy app.  What am I doing wrong?  I'm using v1.8.2 (registered) and I'm using sftp to this server over the internet.

You've definitely created yummy software, by the way!

Hi and firstly sorry for the delayed reply - I am actually currently abroad on vacation.

When you drag an item to the queue drawer it's actually the same as using the Upload Later and Download Later options for Mac and Server items respectively. Currently, schedules set for these items are not remembered across launches of Yummy, although this will be remedied in an upcoming release. That should make it yummier Smiley

The way to set a persistent schedule is to use the Synchronization feature: Navigate to the Mac and Server directories to be synchronized, click the Sync toolbar icon, select Update Mac, Update Server or Mirror as appropriate, then click the Schedule button to configure as required. Once all is set click the Run Schedule button to commence.

Aha - that's what I hadn't seen.  I think you could use your response to make the wiki instructions a little clearer ...

Thanks!
