Using Sublime Text 2 Editor with Yummy - anyone else having problems?
« on: February 04, 2011, 03:29:55 PM »

I can't get Yummy to open files with Sublime Text. Anyone else try and get it to work?

I think the way Yummy hands files off to the text editor is pretty much the same as dragging the file on to the top of the icon, so I don't know why it wouldn't work. Anyone have any idea what the difference is or what kind of feedback we would need to give to the Sublime guys to get it working?

With the current alpha build of Sublime Text 2 file open up just fine when edited with Yummy, but unfortunately saves to the text don't get sent back to the server due to a specific issue with Sublime Text 2 itself.

I've added a work around in the next build of Yummy which will cater for it Smiley

You were able to get sublime to open a file from Yummy? I can't seem to get it to respond at all, let alone get to the point where I can save something. Other text editors are working fine, though.

Hmmm..

Are you using OS X 10.6.6 ?
Are you using the latest alpha of Sublime Text 2 ?

Try making sure Sublime Text 2 isn't running when you first try to edit.

I should add - I set Sublime Text 2 as the default editor in the Server Options tab of the Preferences.

If ST2 supports the ODB editor suite it would be much much better.

Hm.. Yea I'm running the latest version of everything 10.6.6, Yummy, and Sublime. I re-downloaded Sublime and now it doesn't even Growl that the file is open.

I tried it with Cyberduck* and it was able to open and save a file using Sublime.

*Someone else installed it on this machine, I swear!  Embarrassed

Maybe you're being affected by the same issue as I addressed but with a different side effect.

In any case, I've just been testing with the latest build, and it's working just fine Smiley

I'll mail you a link to try it.
