Is this possible without copying the file on my Mac, using some sort of direct FTP copy between the servers?
I have a very slow upload flow with my net connection at home and would like to copy directly from one sever on the other, without passing by my laptop at home. I have the impression that other FTP clients propose this possibility, but I have not been able to locate it in Yummy. I have tried to copy from one server window to another, but Yummy has first downloaded the file on my laptop and tried to upload it from this copy. Too slow in my case... :-(
Any suggestion?

FXP, the protocol used to transfer directly between servers without using your Mac as a middle-man, is not supported in Yummy FTP.
Some FTP clients do support this capability (eg Fetch does) but most servers do not support it, even if they are capable of doing so, because of security concerns. So you might find that it's hard to find two servers that you could even take advantage of such a capability.
Having said that, such servers do exist, so I am adding FXP support in Yummy FTP v2.0
