Hello, I'm trying to set up an AppleScript for multi-site file updates, but when I start recording with the ApplesScript Editor, it sees and records all the actions I perform with the Finder, but doesn't record anything from YummyFTP. What could I be doing wrong?
I'm using the latest version (1.8.6).

The latest version is 1.8.7 and in fact a 1.8.8 update is coming shortly, but that shouldn't make any difference.
Let me check it here and I'll get back to you.
Which Mac OS X version are you using?

Huh, I ran "Check for Updates" in Yummy FTP and it said it was the latest version!
I forgot to mention my OS. I'm running the latest version of Lion.

Ah you're probably using the version you got in the Nova Development Mac SuperBundle. There are no further updates to that.
For what it's worth, I've tested this in Lion and that does appear to be the root of the problem. A bug in Lion.
The problem is that the OS no longer sends a 'started recording' or 'stopped recording' message to Yummy, even though Yummy has successfully registered its interest in those events with the OS.
In Snow Leopard and earlier the messages are sent and with the very same build of Yummy recording scripts works just fine.
Unfortunately there is nothing I can easily do to work around this so it looks like I'll have to file a bug with Apple and wait for them to fix it. Frankly though, Apple don't seem to care so much about AppleScript these days so I wouldn't hold your breath.
The only way I could do something would be to duplicate the functionality of Script Editor within Yummy itself. Massive overkill to be honest, but it would work.

Well, darn. I can speed up my process a good bit with FTP Aliases (great feature, thanks).
And I actually bought Yummy FTP by itself straight from you. Not sure why it's not showing updates.

Well that's good to hear Strange that your version won't update. I'll check that out. Sorry for the mixup.
