Problem editing with Smultron

Having problems editing using Smultron.  I can edit a single file but on trying to edit subsequent files the Yummy hangs and I have to quit and reconnect. This is not a problem with the site I'm FTPing to as Vicomsoft/BBEdit works fine (I just don't like using BBEdit !) This seems only to have started after downloading the latest update. I have reinstalled Yummy and Smultron to no avail. Is there a time limit working somewhere that needs to be changed? Any help would be really appreciated as the need to constantly reconnect is driving me nuts

Are you sure Yummy is actually hanging? The definition of hanging is that the application is totally un-responsive... you'd have to Force Quit to exit it.

I'll go off and try Smultron myself and see if I can repeat any problem.

Just to follow up, using the latest version of both Yummy and Smultron I was able to open 5 documents for remote editing without any problems whatsoever. I could have opened as many as I wanted.

Is there perhaps a connection limit with your server?

Please described exactly what happens when you try to edit a second document.

I can open as many pages as I want but as soon as I edit and save the problem begins, either immediately or with the following edit. The app shows as 'initiating download of page xxx' and the progress bar activates but nothing happens. If I cancel the 'cancelling' progress bar activates and eventually an empty page shows which indicates it is the next page I was trying to edit. I have to quit (sorry, not force quit) in order to edit more pages. This is also happening with TextMate so it doesn't appear to be a Smultron problem and it still works fine with Vicomsoft and BBEdit. On the other hand it seems to be fine with Dreamhost ?!

Clearly this is some kind of issue between Yummy and MediaTemple, no? I'll contact them for advice but any further thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks for your input so far

I've contacted MediaTemple and I think theyve sorted the problem   Yes it did centre around server limitations.
