New Yummy Windows Expand Off Screen
« on: March 27, 2012, 07:07:40 AM »
Hey JD,

I removed all the icons at the top of my yummy window and now every time I open an FTP window, it expands 10px taller than the last.  After a handful of opens, it expands past the bottom of the screen and the only way to fix it is to click the + to expand it full screen and then manually re-drag the bottom corner back to the size you want.

Unrelated: Is there a way to hide the back/forward, columns and folder dropdowns? I don't use any of those as I use keyboard shortcuts.

Why didn't you just choose to Hide the toolbar, rather than manually removing each item?  :o

Undoubtedly, the system API for the toolbar is a bit confused at being visible, but with empty content, and this is messing with the window height.

Right click the toolbar area and select the 'Hide toolbar' item.

However, I would suggest that you restore the toolbar to its default state first, by selecting 'Customise toolbar', then drag the default set to the toolbar and click OK. Then hide the toolbar as above.

Currently there isn't a way to hide the back/forward etc buttons, but I'm working on a UI update... ;)

Admittedly, Apple took away the Hide/Show toolbar widget in Lion and replaced it with the Full Screen widget instead, so you can be forgiven. Just this once ;)
