"Delete Orphaned Items" greyed out
« on: March 06, 2013, 09:33:18 PM »
I think I understand how "Delete Orphaned Items" is supposed to work (available only for one-way sync), but whether I choose "Update Mac," "Update Server," or "Mirror" the checkbox for "Delete Orphaned Items" is greyed out and cannot be selected.  I tried to see if there was a preference to disable/enable this, but I couldn't find it.

Am I missing something obvious?  If so, I apologize.

Sorry for the delayed reply.

Are you using v1.9.1 ?

In that version, the option remains enabled regardless of the sync type, because I added the ability to detect orphans during a mirror sync as well as one way syncs.

I just checked 1.9.1 and indeed the option is selectable, so I'm not able to reproduce what you're seeing.

Hmmm...Yes, I'm running 1.9.1.  Here's a really quick screencast to show what's happening...a (moving) picture might be worth 1000 words: http://screencast.com/t/tqQiYkPi

(Yeah, I noticed I was disconnected from the server when I made the video...the same things happens when I reconnect.)

I have tried the usual "quick fixes" of quitting and restarting Yftp and rebooting my system.

Is there something else I can try?

Un-check 'Compare matching items only'  :)
