Hi, I have just moved from CyberDuck in favor of Yummy FTP, one thing I am struggling to understand is why when I want to copy files from one folder to another on the server it downloads locally then re-uploads, this defeats the purpose storing them on the server in the first place.

Can someone please advise if there is a better way to do this.  Currently I ALT+Click and drag the files to the new folder.

Thanks.

Paul.

Direct server to server transfers requires FXP support on both servers and also within Yummy itself. Most servers do not enable this ability by default, and unfortunately Yummy does not (yet) support FXP. This means that in order to move files from one server to another, Yummy uses your Mac as an intermediary.
