Feature update: allow sort by color code
« on: April 24, 2015, 03:46:22 PM »
First, I love Yummy and have been using it for a zillion years.

I use the MacOS color coding to code a long list of site directories by CMS or project status (disabled, e.g.).

Two things:
  • Yosemite changed the color coding from the highlighted bar to a colored dot that is much easier on the eyes—prevents the big stack of rainbow bands, keeping the text easy to read. Will Yummy switch to that visual treatment?
Can sort by color code be added as a column option?

Thanks!

Thanks for being a loyal Yummy FTP user! :)

1. No plans to change it, no. In fact, another long time customer asked the same question - because he said the new dot is practically useless and hoped I wouldn't change it to that display.

2. Yes, it could. In fact, I could add an optional Color Label column so that the band would be replaced by a dot in that column. Without the column, then the current band display.

No promises how soon I could do it though... I have a ton of stuff on plate already!
