Drag'n Drop issue
« on: January 19, 2016, 09:42:17 AM »
Hello,

I can confirm there is an issue with Drag'n Drop. For some reason I couldn't determine, Drag'n Drop suddenly begins to behave weirdly, it doesn't just stop working in what I experience. I think it is related to other discussions titled «Drag'n Drop not working on El Capitan», «Upload to wrong folder» and «Drag'n Drop issue».

• Normal behavior : when dragging a file over a directory, this one passes into a rollover state so that we can drop the file within the directory without having to open the directory.
• Buggy behavior : when dragging a file over a directory, there is no more rollover effect and dropping the file in this situation makes the file «disappear». In fact, it doesn't really disappear, it is copied within a parent directory. I encountered several times the issue and needed to check within the logs in order to know where the file was copied.
• Solution : restart Yummy FTP

I encountered the bug each time I had to rename some directories in a row. It may be related to Yummy FTP having to deal with quite a queue on a not so fast FTP connection, maybe some memory issue?

Regards,
Éric

Hi,

I don't have any other similar reports, and I'm not immediately able to repeat this issue, so I'm perplexed...

Is it possible that the directory that fails to display the rollover is one that has been previously renamed and if you are on a slow connection perhaps that rename has not taken place on the server yet, although it will be displayed as you expect in the UI until the job is completed.

Otherwise, please contact me by email so we can exchange details better than in this forum.
