More suggestions...
« on: November 11, 2005, 07:04:40 PM »

This is my "little" list of suggestions to improve Yummy:

1. When I add a favorite, it would be a good idea that I could associate a local folder opened in local browser when I go to this favourite.

2. I would like that I could specify some strings that, if presents in any file o directory, cause that this file/dir appears in a determined color

3. What about if I could select what colums show in each browser (local and remote independently)?

4. Search strings in a remote browser directory (to find a file in a very large directory)

5. If I drag and drop a file from remote browser to local folder, why not give the user the option of send this item to the qeue?

6. Each bookmark for each site with independent settings (I mean global settings like multi-connections)

7. more to come...

8. Sorry about my english. I'm from Spain.

9. See you, and thank you for yo attention.

Most of your suggestions are already present in Yummy FTP.

1. Mac home folder (Local path) is stored the the Advanced Settings tab of the Bookmark editor window. Check the documentation links for more details.

2. You can use the Filters option in the Listing menu to have items included/excluded from transfers, synchronizations or browsing (3 checkboxes). There are separate filters for local and remote files. If enter your strings in the filters and then un-check the 3 checkboxes, the filtered items will be coloured red. Check the documentation links for more details.

3. In the Preferences the Interface tab has a 'Show/hide List view columns' menu to select this. Check the documentation links for more details.

4. Already planned.

5. Drag the files to the queue drawer, or select Download/Upload Later from the contextual menu or from the Transfer menu.

6. That's easy to add Smiley

7... ok...

8. No problem. Hola

9. You're welcome.

In point 1 I was speaking about Favourites, not Bookmarks. Favorites for each server.

And speaking about bookmarks, why not to create folders for better sort them?

No problem Smiley

For 1. If you use Bookmarks of your servers, then Favorites are already stored per server, both local and server Favorites.

For the second part of your question, select Show All Bookmarks from the Bookmarks menu. This will show a window in which you can organize your Bookmarks into folders if you wish.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. Yes, having a favorite which associates both a local and remote directory at the same time would be quite useful. I'll add it as a feature request.
