I need to know how to change to active mode. I just got the license for this a few days ago. So, yeah. I know this sounds noobish but I want to know how though.  Embarrassed

By default, Yummy FTP will automatically switch between Passive and Active FTP depending on your server and/or firewall, however this can sometimes be time consuming, and Passive FTP is tried first by default.

You can change the default to be Active FTP in two ways:

1) For new connections (ie not Bookmarked) un-check the 'Default to Passive FTP (PASV)' checbox in the 'Server Options' tab of the Preferences, then click the 'Save' button

2) For Bookmarked connections, you will need to edit each Bookmark in turn as follows:
a) Select 'Show All Bookmarks' from the 'Bookmarks' menu
b) Click on a Bookmark to edit from the list shown
c) Click the 'Edit' toolbar icon
d) In the 'Advanced Options' tab, un-check the 'Use passive FTP (PASV)' checkbox
e) Click the 'Save' button

Note that if you do not wish Yummy FTP to automatically switch between Passive and Active FTP, you can un-check the 'Auto-detect Active/Passive mode' checkbox in the 'Server Options' tab of the Preferences.
