while using proxy, could not connect to the sever.

I'm using mac and using proxy, i set up the proxy setting, but one thing is still confusing me that the option of proxy type, which one should i choose, i tried each one, but it seems it doesnt work.

i have a error message says sever busy , retry later.

i have no idea what should i do next.

anyway , is that a problem while using proxy?

Sorry for the delayed reply - I'm on vacation and unable to access the Internet readily.

The message means that either connection to either the proxy server itself, or the FTP site you're trying to connect to failed. I would check that the proxy server IP or Name is set correctly in the first instance - if the connection was being establised to the proxy server and failing to the actiual FTP server then you'd get a different message.

You can check that the proxy server IP or Name is correct by entering it into the Ping utility of the Network app inside Applications -> Utilities. If this fails then the IP or Name is not correct.
