Hi, Any help would be appreciated. Using a Powerbook with OS X 10.4.10
I had to change my hard disk and have now reinstalled yummy with no problem.
I have moved the following folders
BOOKMARKS OTHER EDITORS RECENT CONNECTIONS SERVER FAVOURITES
from the YUMMY FTP folder on my backup drive into the YUMMY FTP folder on my computer.
I expected to see all my saved bookmarks available, but the the BOOKMARKS screen is blank.
Can you tell me where I have gone wrong please?
Thankyou,
George Kedourie

All those items from your old hard disk are located inside a Yummy FTP folder which is located in :
Mac HD -> Users -> yourname -> Library -> Preferences
You need to move that folder into the same position on your new hard disk.
It's possble that the way you have moved the files/folders may have caused some information to be lost. I recommend doing the following to ensure you move the data successfully:
On your old hard disk, select the Yummy FTP preferences folder in the Finder and choose 'Create Archive' from the File menu. Now copy the resultant archive file to your new hard disk and double click it to expand it into the Yummy FTP folder again, which you can now place into the location described above.

Hi JD,
Thanks for your answers,
Took me a while to get back!
I did what you suggested in your first post, moving the Yummy FTP file from Preferences on my Lacie backup drive to Preferences on the mac.
My Show all Bookmarks screen remained blank.
Then I followed your suggestion with the Apple Script.
I am not sure if I followed correctly. Inside the Bookmark folder within Yummy FTP I 'Selected All' and put them onto the script.
Still a blank in Show All Bookmarks. Should I have taken the whole Yummy FTP Folder or the Bookmark folder itself and/or Recent Connections
Also are the passwords all within the Yummy FTP Folder or do I have to get them from the keychain
Thankyou for your attention,
George Kedourie

It sounds like you've done the right things, but of course you must quit Yummy and restart it after each step as it may not immediately recognize the changes. Did you see any Bookmarks after restarting Yummy?
If you still have no success, perhaps your backup isn't actually valid?... could you send me a copy of your backup for me to check? Select 'Create Archive' in the Finder of the Yummy FTP preferences folder on the Lacie backup drive and send me the resulting file.
The passwords to all your Bookmarks are stored in the Keychain (by default), so you'll need to copy that over from your old Hard Disk too I'm afraid.
