Yummy Window Capture Initial Click?
« on: October 09, 2007, 02:55:17 PM »

Heyo,

I'm transferring from the Transmit world and one thing that seems missing in Yummy is the "Capture Initial Click" option?  I don't use the built-in local file browser because I prefer my files to be below the FTP window (because of limited screen real estate) and when I drag-n-drop my file from my [PathFinder] into Yummy and the file already exists on the server, I have to click Yummy twice; once to focus the window and a second time to click on "Replace" in the dialog.

In Transmit, whether or not it's focused, if I have to confirm something in a dialog, I can click it without the window being focused which is a nice little touch.

Did I miss this option or am I just needy? Wink

Other than that, great program!  It's all but replaced my Transmit usage.

P.S. Also, is there a way to make the local browser appear as it's own window or below the remote browser?

Hi and welcome to the forum Smiley

Yes, I see that behavior - I can fix that up quite easily for the next build.

There's no way to move the local browser, other than hide it completely, I'm afraid.

wow, I've posted hundreds of suggestions / feature requests for programs throughout my life and I think that's the first "yeah sure" response I've ever received.

Thanks for the quick reply and I look forward to your next build.

This is EXACTLY why I love to love YummieFTP!  I just got the beta for Flow, and while it looks like it could be quite interesting (once it matures), it is JD's quick replies, and happy-go-lucky attitude that keeps me here.  Constant contact, constant updates, and a great attitude!  Woo-hoo!

[Well, that and the fact that I find YFTP to be the best FTP program around.]

Thanks, Rees Grin

You'll be pleased to know there will be another update soon after the release of Leopard, to primarily provide compatibility with the new cat, but there are a few extras and bug fixes, plus I am adding some Leopardy bits Wink
